Your KuCoin accounts have been exclusively designed with premium security protocols, easy interface, low transactional charges.

First, you’ll need to visit www.kucoin.com. Make sure, as always, that you’re on the correct website.

You’ll find the blue sign up button at the top right of your screen. Click here and you’ll be greeted by a screen displaying KuCoin’s terms of use. Read and accept these, and you will move onto the next stage of the registration process.

After accepting KuCoins terms of use you will come to the signup screen. Here you will need to enter your email address and a password to access your account. Make sure that you create a record of this information in case you lose your password.

Once you’ve entered the correct information, click next, and you will be directed to a new screen instructing you to verify your account. To do this check your email inbox for a message titled KuCoin account validation. If you cannot find this email in your inbox, then check to see if it has been sent to your junk mail folder instead.

Click the link in the email to activate your account and you will be automatically signed in.

In order to active your account fully you will have to complete a KYC form, for this you will need proof of identity — an ID card, passport, or driving licence. You will also need to install Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

You can do all of this by navigating the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

KYC Authentication will provide a form which you will need to complete to begin trading. This is where you’ll be asked for your proof of identity, and other pieces of personal information.

Google 2-Step will direct you to a screen where you will be given a 16-character secret key. This key will be in a bright red font in the center of your screen. Make sure you back it up somewhere safe, and preferably offline. Most importantly:

Do not share your secret key with anybody.

Once you have your secret key you will be able to download Google Authenticator to your device from the relevant store. For this part you will need your mobile device to hand. Firstly, install the app from your computer.

You will receive a notification on your mobile device asking you to confirm that you wish to download the app. Click yes and the app should begin installing to your device.

Once the app is installed, you will be able to scan the 2D code on your computer screen, or alternatively, you can provide a 6-digit authentication code from the app to verify your account. There is no need to make a note of these six-digit codes as the authenticator will continuously generate new codes to keep your accounts safe.

Once you have completed this step the screen will change, and you will see a message warning not to uninstall Google Authenticator. This is to protect your accounts.

Once you have completed these steps you should be ready to use the exchange. Though, it is worth noting that it may take a few days for KuCoin to process your KYC information. Until then, you may find some interactions are unavailable.
